How the Custom Design Process Works

Custom sounds complicated until you have done it once. Here is what it actually looks like:

• We sit down together and talk through the idea, the occasion, and your budget
• We sketch and render the design so you see it before anything is made
• You review, change your mind, and refine until it is right
• We source the stones, or work with the ones you bring us
• Our bench builds the piece, and you approve the finished work in person

What We Design

Most of what leaves our studio falls into a few categories:

• Bespoke engagement rings built around a stone or a setting idea
• Wedding and anniversary bands, including contoured bands shaped to an existing ring
• Pendants, earrings, and bracelets made as gifts or milestones
• Signet rings, monograms, and name pieces
• Redesigns that turn inherited jewelry into something you will actually wear

We reset stones, rebuild settings, and combine pieces from multiple heirlooms into a single wearable design. The material stays in the family; only the form changes.

How Long Does a Custom Piece Take?

Most projects run several weeks from first conversation to finished piece, depending on complexity and stone sourcing. Tell us your date at the start, and we will be honest about whether it is realistic.

Is Custom More Expensive Than Buying Something Ready-Made?

Not necessarily. We design to your budget rather than to a price tag someone else set, and you are not paying for a piece to sit in a case first.

Can You Work From a Photo or a Sketch?

Yes. A screenshot, a drawing on a napkin, or a description of something you saw once are all fine starting points.

Do I Need an Appointment?

Walk-ins are welcome during store hours, but a design consultation goes better with time set aside. Saturday appointments are available on request.
